Winter weather postpones playoff basketball games

WESTERN SUBURBS — The winter weather moving through the area has led to the postponement of a slew of high school boys basketball playoff games.

At the Class 4A Batavia regional, Lemont and Bolingbrook will play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

At the Class 3A IMSA regional, Wheaton Academy and Aurora Central Catholic will play at 6 p.m. Wednesday immediately followed by St. Francis vs. Kaneland at 7:30 p.m.

At the Class 3A Glenbard South regional, the host Raiders and Orr will play at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The Montini-Nazareth semifinal scheduled for Wednesday has been pushed back to Thursday at 7:30 p.m.

At the Class 4A Glenbard North regional, the host Panthers will face Oak Park-River Forest at 6 p.m. Wednesday, followed by Morton and Schaumburg at 7:30 p.m.

At the Class 4A Benet regional, the host Redwings will face Plainfield North at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in a semifinal game. The Naperville North-Naperville Central semifinal fame originally scheduled for Wednesday will be played Thursday.

At the Class 4A York regional, the Dukes will face West Suburban Silver rival Lyons Township at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.

At the Class 4A Wheaton Warrenville South regional, the semifinal game between Downers Grove South and West Aurora will be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. The other semifinal game between Hinsdale Central and Geneva, originally scheduled for Wednesday night, will be played at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

The Class 4A Hoffman Estates regional quarterfinal between Addison Trail and Glenbard West will be played at 6 p.m. Wednesday. The semifinals that included Glenbard East and Riverside Brookfield have been pushed back to Thursday.

The Class 3A Marshall regional semifinals have been pushed back until Wednesday. Marshall and Timothy Christian will play at 5 p.m. and Fenwick will play VOISE Academy at 6:30 p.m.
