LA GRANGE PARK — Nazareth Academy’s Alumni Association will host its inaugural Roadrunner Dash 5K Run/Walk at 8:30 a.m. on April 21. The race is open to the public.

The race will begin and end at Nazareth Academy, 1209 W. Ogden Ave., La Grange Park, and the route will take participants through the neighborhoods of La Grange Park.

“The Roadrunner Dash is a great way to bring together Nazareth and its surrounding communities,” said Katherine Fernholz, alumni relations coordinator. “We see this as a fun and engaging opportunity for participants of all ages.”

Interested racers can sign up online at http://bit.ly/14TbQ37. The cost is $30 for adults and $25 for children under 18. All participants will receive a Roadrunner Dash 5K T-shirt.

As this is an event open to families, children are welcome. Parents with strollers are welcome at the back of the pack. No dogs will be allowed. Refreshments will be available immediately following the race.

Awards for all age brackets will be presented at 9:45 a.m. Medals will be awarded to the top three males and females in the following categories: 11-14 years old; 15-18 years old; and 19 years old and older.

Sponsorship opportunities for the Roadrunner Dash are still available. Contact Katherine Fernholz at 708-387-8508 if interested.
