One person injured in car rollover at I-290 in Elmhurst

ELMHURST – One person was taken to Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare Saturday evening after a car rolled over on one of the ramps at Interstate 290 in Elmhurst, a representative of the Illinois State Police said.

Master Sgt. Amy Pelletier of the ISP's Elgin office said the car was traveling westbound on I-290 and had exited for eastbound Lake Street at about 5:55 p.m. Saturday. The car lost control and drove off the roadway, rolling over on the ramp, she said.

The male driver of the car was able to climb out of the vehicle, Pelletier said. The female passenger was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life threatening.

No other injuries were reported.
