Glen Ellyn offers grants to prevent sewer backups

GLEN ELLYN – The village of Glen Ellyn is offering a grant program to help residents minimize the possibility of sewer backups.

The program is for eligible residents who wish to make changes to their sanitary plumbing system in order to minimize these backups.

As part of the program, the village will reimburse property owners as much as $2,500 or 50 percent of the installation cost of an approved overhead sewer or backflow prevention valve.
