Lemont nonprofit seeking donations for kids party

LEMONT – The Hope and Friendship Foundation of Lemont has a wish list of items it is seeking for an Unbirthday Party event it is holding Tuesday, July 16.

The party is for youth ages 5 and younger who do not get to have large birthday bashes.

Wish items include: new pillow cases (used as goody bags); plain cupcakes to decorate; icing; punch or juice; journals and pens; drawing pads and markers, pencils and crayons and personal care items for the “Unbirthday Shop,” such as socks, deodorant, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, hair product, brushes, headbands, cologne, soap, lotions and lip balm.

Items are needed by Sunday, July 14. The Hope and Friendship Foundation has food pantry bins at Starbucks, the Lemont Police Station Lobby, the Lemont Township Office Lobby, Pawz & Klawz Pet Salon and US Bank.
