Oak Brook Police Department issues 39 citations during campaigns

OAK BROOK – From June 28 to July 7, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) partnered with the Oak Brook Police Department to remind drivers to buckle up and not drive impaired as part of the Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization.

Oak Brook police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies to reduce highway fatalities by cracking down on unbuckled motorists and impaired drivers.

During the mobilization, the Oak Brook Police Department issued two charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, 16 speeding citations, one seat belt citation, six uninsured motor vehicle citations and 14 other citations.
