HINSDALE – Adventist Hinsdale and Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospitals’ Heart & Vascular Institute has earned the "ACTION Registry-Get With The Guidelines Platinum Performance Achievement Award," according to a hospital news release.

ACTION Registry-GWTG focuses on the care of high risk cardiac patients. The platinum designation was awarded to the hospitals for consistently following treatment guidelines set out by ACTION Registry-GWTG for two straight years.

ACTION-Registry supports efforts to reduce procedural complications for coronary patients, and helps institutions identify areas of excellence and improvement opportunities.

It’s the second professional designation earned by the two hospitals for its cardiac care this year. This past spring, the hospitals received the American Heart Association’s Mission Lifeline Silver Receiving Quality Achievement Award. It recognized the hospitals’ commitment to and success in implementing care for heart attack patients.
