Trespasser pushes homeowner

A homeowner reported that they were pushed to the ground after confronting a suspected trespasser in their backyard about 2:48 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 400 block of Cumberland Lane.

Thefts, burglaries reported

• Two unsecured vehicles were rummaged through and two laptops, a mix board, two hard drives, two laptop stands and carrying cases valued at $32,000 were stolen sometime between midnight and 5 a.m. Aug. 12 from the 800 block of Metropolitan Avenue.

• Four gold rings were stolen sometime between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. Aug. 8 from a residence in the 100 block of W. Briarcliff Road.

• Robbie Lee, 44, 185 Norman Way, Bolingbrook, was charged with possession of stolen property and theft from motor vehicle after stealing an iPhone from a victim’s vehicle about 3:25 p.m. Aug. 11 in the 600 block of E. Boughton Road.

• Melissa Macdonald, 36, 2432 Waterbury Drive, Woodridge, and a 17-year-old minor were both charged with retail theft about 12:42 p.m. Aug. 11 at Menards, 290 N. Bolingbrook Drive.

• Christian Riley, 22, 610 Preston Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with theft on Aug. 14 after making several unauthorized purchases with a victim’s debit card.

• A digital camera, lens, camera flash, iPad and guitar valued at $1,900 were stolen sometime between midnight and 10:27 a.m. Aug. 11 from the 200 block of Remington Boulevard.

• A laptop, external hard drive, air card, backpack and stethoscope valued at $1,200 were stolen sometime between Aug. 12 and Aug. 13 from a vehicle in the 300 block of Round Hill Court.

• A masonry saw and power washer valued at $1,650 were stolen sometime between Aug. 13 and Aug. 14 from a vehicle in Lot H of Fernwood Drive.

• Four truck batteries valued at $2,000 were stolen sometime between 10:15 a.m. and noon Aug. 10 in the 100 block of S. Joliet Road.

• A bicycle was stolen sometime between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 7 from a garage in the 100 block of Sandalwood Drive.

• A white trailer was stolen sometime between May 24 and Aug. 8 from a parking lot in the 100 block of E. Crossroads Parkway.

• A purse was stolen from an unlocked motorcycle sometime between 12:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Aug. 9 from a driveway in the 1800 block of Blossom Ridge Drive.

• A 2007 Saturn was stolen sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. Aug. 10 from a driveway in the 500 block of Seneca Lane.

• A laptop, WiFi card, calculator, clam shell bag and office supplies were stolen from an unlocked vehicle Aug. 12 in the 1900 block of Moraine Road.

• A Garmin GPS unit was stolen sometime between Aug. 12 and Aug. 13 from a vehicle in the 1500 block of Schafer Avenue.

• A purse and cellphone were stolen about 4:25 p.m. Aug. 11 from a counter at Wal-Mart, 200 S. Bolingbrook Drive.

• A cellphone was stolen from a victim Aug. 11 in 1700 block of Trails End Lane.

• A cellphone and charger were stolen sometime between 1:30 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. Aug. 7 from a vehicle in the 100 block Rockhurst Road.

• Lottery tickets and a gift card were stolen from a vehicle sometime between midnight and 6 a.m. Aug. 13 from the 1800 block of Pampas Circle.

• A vehicle’s headlights were damaged and a toolbox was stolen from inside the vehicle on Aug. 14 in the 400 block of Trout Farm Road.

DUI charges

• Paul Shepard, 27, 1284 Banbury Road, Mundelein, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license and no insurance about 3:40 a.m. Aug. 11 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Route 53 and Boughton Road.

• Miguel Herrera, 25, 596 Greystone Lane, Bolingbrook was charged with driving under the influence, traffic signal violation and resisting peace officer about 2:03 a.m. Aug. 8 following a traffic stop in the 400 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive.

• Timothy Eastman Sr., 48, 5711 Western Ave., Clarendon Hills, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and driving on a suspended license about 2 a.m. Aug. 8 following a traffic stop in the 100 block of E. Boughton Road.

• Benjamin Boston, 34, 5911 Arbor Gate Drive, Plainfield, was charged with driving under the influence, improper lane usage and equipment violation about 7:36 p.m. Aug. 9 following a traffic stop at the the intersection of Boughton Road and Whitewater Drive.

• Gerald Meeks, 48, 537 S. Kathleen Drive, Romeoville, was charged with driving under the influence, improper turn at intersection and traffic signal violation about 1:52 a.m. Aug. 10 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Weber Road and Chanticleer Drive.

• Sunny Manghera, 20, 143 Tecumseh Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence, speeding and traffic signal violation about 2:12 a.m. Aug. 10 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Boughton Road Whitewater Drive.

• Manuel Reyes, 31, 3416 Joanne Ave., Woodridge, was charged with driving under the influence, disobeying a stop sign, improper lane usage and no valid driver’s license about 4 a.m. Aug. 11 following a traffic stop in the 700 block of E. Boughton Road.

• Jose Zermeno, 40, 104 Balmoral Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with driving under the influence, failure to signal and no insurance about 3:07 a.m. Aug. 12 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Remington Boulevard and Bolingbrook Drive.

Disorderly conduct

Michael Funches, 22, 3 Penny Court, Bolingbrook, was charged with disorderly conduct after refusing to leave a business property about 11:55 p.m. Aug. 9 in the 500 block of N. Janes Avenue.

Resisting an officer

Michael Bennett, 38, 165 Garden Drive, Bolingbrook, was charged with resisting a peace officer about 2;27 p.m. Aug. 10 following a call to a residence.

Criminal damage to property

Two vehicles had their tires slashed sometime between 11:15 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Aug. 13 in a parking lot in the 300 block of Marmon Drive.

Possession of a controlled substance

Robert Seaman, 37, 24538 S. States Lane, Shorewood, was charged with possession of controlled substance and improper turn at an intersection about 2:40 a.m. Aug. 13 following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Remington Boulevard.

Criminal trespass

Harry Coulombe, 58, of Bolingbrook, was charged with in-state of warrant and criminal trespass to property about 7:55 a.m. Aug. 14 in the 100 block of N. Bolingbrook Drive.
