Elmhurst woman charged with delivering marijuana near school

ELMHURST – Police reported charges against an Elmhurst woman for delivering marijuana and possesion of controlled substances July 31, police reported this week.

Angela K. Keene, 45, of the 300 block of East St. Charles Road, was charged with delivery of marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school, unlawful delivery of marijuana, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

The arrest was part of a joint drug investigation by the Elmhurst and Villa Park police departments. Officers recovered 66.9 grams of marijuana, along with various controlled substances, including Adderall and Valium, in Keene's home while executing a search warrant.

Keene was previously arrested by the Elmhurst Police Department in 2010 for selling marijuana from her home. Police recovered 377 grams of marijuana from her home during that arrest. She pleaded guilty, and was ordered to serve 10 days in the Sheriff's Work Alternative Program. Her two years of probation ended in July 2012.
