Sheriff's deputies to hold 'Cop Tipping' fundraiser Friday to support Special Olympics

LOMBARD – Deputies from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office will be at Chick-fil-A in Lombard on Friday to participate in a "Cop Tipping" fundraiser benefiting Special Olympics.

From 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., off-duty deputies will be at the restaurant at 717 E. Butterfield Road in Lombard collecting donations for the annual Torch Run and Special Olympics in Illinois.

Special Olympics provides sports training and athletic competition to children and adults with cognitive disabilities.

Last year, the DuPage County Sheriff's Office raised almost $15,000 to benefit Special Olympics Illinois.
