CLARENDON HILLS – Freegal, a downloadable music service similar to iTunes is now available to Clarendon Hills Public Library cardholders.

Each week, patrons may download three songs free of charge from the extensive Sony Music Entertainment catalog. That's up to 156 songs per year, which may be kept permanently.

All music genres are available, no special software is required and there are no digital rights management restrictions, according to a news release.

Clarendon Hills Library cardholders may access the Freegal site via the library website at clarendonhillslibrary.org. Songs may be downloaded to any computer (PC or Mac) and to mobile devices using the Freegal mobile app available for Android and Apple (iPhone/iPad/iPodTouch).

For more information, call 630-323-8188 or visit clarendonhillslibrary.org.
