Oak Brook police and fire department to host first charity pancake breakfast

OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook police and fire departments will host their first annual charity pancake breakfast and open house.

Police officers, firefighters and paramedics will be working the griddle to serve up pancakes, sausages, juice, milk and coffee. After breakfast, guests are free to tour both departments and get an up-close view of the vehicles and equipment used to respond to emergencies.

The pancake breakfast will take place from 8 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5 at the Oak Brook Fire Department Station 94, 1200 Oak Brook Road. Donations of $5 are asked from adults and $3 for kids.

All donations raised will be shared between the Illinois Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics and the Illinois Burn Prevention Association.
