Svengoolie to visit Lombard Jaycees haunted house

Svengoolie will visit the Lombard Jaycees haunted house from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 to sign autographs and take pictures.

LOMBARD – Svengoolie, a legendary Chicago horror movie show host, will visit the Lombard Jaycees haunted house from 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 19 to sign autographs and take pictures.

The haunted house, which is themed Happy Hell-A-Days opens at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 and is located at 356 Yorktown Center, next to the outside entrance of Lucky Strike Lanes.

The house will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in October, following the opening night, along with Oct. 29, 30 and 31 and Nov. 1 and 2. Hours of operation are from 7 to 11 p.m. each night.

Tickets are $10 for anyone 10-years and older, or $5 for children. VIP tickets allow guests to skip the line and are $15 for adults or $7 for children.

From noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 26, the Jaycees will present a special matinee for children to tour the haunted house with the lights on. Nonperishable food donations will be accepted in place of admission fees.
