BROOKFIELD

DUI

Robert Rogala, 55, of the 3500 block of Prairie Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage, disobeying a stop sign and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident after striking a parked vehicle at Washington and Prairie Avenue at 12:09 p.m. Sept. 22.

Criminal damage to

property, resisting officer

Phillip M. Davis, 40, of the 4300 block of Dubois Boulevard, was charged with criminal damage to property and resisting a police officer after kicking open a door in the 4300 block of Dubois Boulevard at 3 a.m. Sept. 20. Davis resisted arrest and threatened to fight police officers before they were able to apprehend him.

• A driver’s side window of a vehicle parking in the 3600 block of Madison Avenue was found to have been shattered between 8 p.m. Sept. 16 and 7:31 a.m. Sept. 17. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

• The rear driver’s side window of a vehicle parked in the 3700 block of Madison Avenue was shattered between 9 p.m. Sept. 16 and 7:52 a.m. Sept. 17. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.

Man pulls knife during

argument over decorations

A man pulled out a knife during an argument over birthday decorations at a bar in the 8400 block of Brookfield Avenue at 4:11 a.m. Sept. 22.

Items stolen from car

A GPS device, iPhone charger and a multipack of air fresheners were stolen from a car parked in the 9500 block of Jefferson Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Sept. 22.

Car windows shattered

Both driver’s-side windows of a vehicle parked in the 4400 block of Arthur Avenue were shattered, as reported at 11:58 a.m. Sept. 22.

Windshield wipers taken off car

Windshield wipers were stolen from a car parked in the 4500 block of Grove Avenue at 1:29 p.m. Sept. 17.

Flag stolen

An American flag was stolen off a flagpole in the backyard of a residence in the 3300 block of Elm Avenue between 9 p.m. Sept. 18 and 6 a.m. Sept. 19.

Car tire deflated

Someone scratched a car parked in the 3300 block of Maple Avenue and let air out of one of the vehicle’s tires between 10 p.m. Sept. 18 and 5:45 a.m. Sept. 19.

Lawn mower taken from backyard

A lawn mower was stolen from a backyard in the 4100 block of Grove Avenue between 2 and 8:34 p.m. Sept. 21.

RIVERSIDE

DUI

Dana M. Sidaway, 35, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs after being pulled over for speeding at Pershing Road and Wisconsin Avenue at 1:08 a.m. Sept. 17.

• Mauricio Bermudez Burgos, 35, of Carol Stream, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol after being pulled over for swerving between lanes at Harlem Avenue and 38th Place at 1 a.m. Sept. 19. His blood alcohol concentration was measured at .130.

Hit and run

A man said he was stopped in traffic at Harlem and Ogden avenues around 5:42 p.m. Sept. 18 when a semi truck struck his vehicle from behind and then drove off.

Power Wheels car stolen from garage

A red Power Wheels battery-operated kids car was stolen from an unlocked garage in the 100 block of Gage Road, as reported at 11:43 a.m. Sept. 19.

Spare tire stolen

A spare tire was stolen from a car in the 3700 block of Harlem Avenue at 2:12 p.m. Sept. 20.

LYONS

DUI

Fernando Martinez, 29, of the 3600 block of Kimball Avenue, Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without insurance and improper lane usage after being pulled over at Ogden and Maple avenues at 12:51 a.m. Sept. 26.

Possession of a controlled substance

Miguel Espino, 18, of the 8000 block of West Salisbury Avenue, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, illegal transportation of open alcohol and failure to wear a seatbelt after a car he was in was pulled over for swerving between lanes at Ogden and Home avenues at 12:38 a.m. Sept. 21.
