Rep. Willis to host recycling, shredding event with Addison agencies

ADDISON – State Rep. Kathy Willis, D-Addison, will host a community recycling extravaganza in cooperation with the Addison Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Addison Park District.

Addison residents can bring electronics, medical equipment, bicycles and eyeglasses to be recycled at the Community Recreation center. Light bulbs, crayons, keys and American flags are also welcome.

Acme Recycling will also be available to shred up to five boxes of paper per person so residents can safely and responsibly dispose of sensitive information.

Shredding and Recycle Day is from 10 a.m. to 1p.m. Oct. 26 at the Addison Community Recreation Center parking lot, 120 E. Oak Street.

The event is free and open to the public.
