St. Francis vs. Glenbard South

When: 1 p.m. Saturday

Where: 23W200 Butterfield Road, Glen Ellyn

2013 records: St. Francis 5-4; Glenbard South 9-0

Outlook: One week after capturing the Metro Suburban conference title, Glenbard South added the first perfect regular season in program history with a 29-13 victory over Bloom.

Courtesy of their 9-0 mark, the Raiders received a No. 3-seed in Class 5A and will host an opponent from the strong Suburban Christian Blue conference, which had all six teams qualify for the playoffs.

St. Francis punched its ticket to the postseason with a 50-8 win over St. Edward in week nine. The Spartans are led by running back James Butler, who has scored 19 touchdowns on the season, but the status of the senior is in question after he left Friday's game with an injury.

Harlem vs. Glenbard West

When: 1 p.m. Saturday

Where: 670 Crescent, Glen Ellyn

2013 records: Harlem 6-3; Glenbard West 8-1

Outlook: Despite a rash of injuries, Glenbard West continues to pick up steam as the Hilltoppers prepare for the defense of their Class 7A state championship.

The team rattled off their eighth consecutive win on Saturday, defeating York 35-7, and in the process, captured the West Suburban Silver outright title.

While the offense continues to put up big numbers, it is the defense that has become downright dominant. Glenbard West has allowed just 48 points since its week one loss to Wheaton Warrenville South.

Harlem comes in with a record of 6-3 after finishing fourth in the NIC-10. The Huskies have struggled of late, losing two of their final three regular season games which included a 20-7 defeat to Rockford Guilford in week nine. The squad has just one victory over a team with a winning record.
