Published: Monday, Nov. 4, 2013 6:00 a.m. CDT

LEMONT – Lemont-Bromberek Combined School District 113A will hold an open committee meeting at noon Monday, Nov. 4, at River Valley School to discuss whether to keep its fifth grade students at Old Quarry Middle School or move them to River Valley.

The meeting will include district staff and two Board of Education members. It will take place in a small classroom and there will not be time for public comment. Visitors should check in with the front desk.

The potential move was brought up during the Oct. 16 board meeting. The board requested a meeting with staff members to answer questions before addressing the issue further.

The meeting is not meant as a public forum to discuss the potential move. Under the Open Meetings Act, any committee meeting that reports to the Board of Education must be open to public attendance.
