VILLA PARK – Willowbrook High School senior Deanna Neil (left) and sophomore Monica Robare were recently honored at the After Hours Film Society’s 2013 Say It In Eight Student Film Festival.

Neil received an Award of Excellence in the animation/experimental category for her film, "One Hell of a Family: Clash." Competing in the same genre, Robare earned Honorable Mention with "Peppermint Winter."

All contest films were screened at a special presentation at the Tivoli Theatre in Downers Grove.

Winners were invited to receive their awards at the program and to be available to answer audience questions regarding their films, background and ambitions.

Categories in the After Hours Film Society contest included fiction, nonfiction and animation/experimental, and contestants ranged from from grammar school to graduate.
