Whole Foods Hinsdale to host 'Wellness Weekend'

HINSDALE – Whole Foods Market in Hinsdale, 500 E. Ogden Ave., will host two days of free events focusing on better health in the new year.

"It's all About Me Spa Night" will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. Jan. 30. Vendors will be present handing out samples and providing raffle prizes to help attendees achieve their health goals in 2014. Guests can enjoy the raw and vegan sampling buffet and there will be a complimentary chair massage by LMT Loni Green in the cafe.

"Health University: Menopause, Dealing with Transition Naturally" is at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 30 in the Lifestyle Center. Thor Conner, naturopathic doctor, will be on hand to conduct a presentation and discussion on the transition of menopause. Handouts will be provided.

Local vegan chef Jill Ovnik will present "Meatless Meals for the New Year" from noon to 1 p.m. Feb. 1 in the cafe. Guests can learn vegan basics, sample dishes and take home a packet of recipes to try.
