VILLA PARK – Willowbrook High School will host an "Academy Awards" event for student-actors with special needs who were involved with the school's production of "High School Musical" last August.

The awards ceremony will be held at 6:45 p.m. Friday at the high school's auditorium, 1250 S. Ardmore Ave. in Villa Park. The free event starts at 7 p.m., but a red carpet photo-op will be held before to honor actors and their guests.

Entertainment will be provided by "The Darnell Holt Showcase" in memory of Darnell Holt, who died two years ago. Holt will receive a "Lifetime Achievement Award" during the event.
