LA GRANGE PARK

Exercise caution at ATMs police say

La Grange Park police are urging residents to take precautions and be aware of suspicious people near entrances to ATMs.

Police said residents should only use well-lit, well-populated ATMs. When possible, they should avoid those that have unlocked doors or are out on the street.

Customers can use mirrors, positioned at the ATM, to see behind themselves.

Police advised customers should put money away and remember to take their cards and receipts before leaving the ATM. Your card is exclusively for your entry only. If using a facility with a door, make sure the door closes behind you.
