Brookfield resident turns 100 in March

Brookfield resident, Helen B., a client of Cantana Adult Life Services, will turn 100 in March.

BROOKFIELD – On March 31, a Brookfield resident will celebrate a very big milestone – turning 100 years old.

Cantata Adult Life Services will celebrate the 100th birthday of Helen B. with a party on its senior living campus. Born and raised in Chicago, Helen has been a Cantana client for the last 11 years. She will celebrate with birthday cake.

Her secret to a long life?

"Have a shot and a beer before breakfast," she joked.

Helen speaks fluent Lithuanian and has traveled to Europe twice. She worked for a local telephone company before she retired. These days, Helen enjoys reading the newspaper, doing crossword puzzles and sharing jokes with friends.
