Letter: Surprised by endorsement

Published: Friday, March 14, 2014 3:23 p.m. CDT

To the Editor:

I was surprised to see that a paper called "Suburban Life"  would endorse a wealthy Chicagoan for governor over a local suburbanite.

You are aware Bruce Rauner made Rahm Emanuel wealthy after leaving the Clinton White House, he voted in the Democratic primary elections and donated a quarter of a million dollars to Mayor Daley. I also find it interesting that he would vacation with Mayor Emanuel. Someone who claims they want to change the "Chicago Machine" he seems to be pretty friendly with it.

We counties outside of Chicago, we suburbanites, are tired of Chicago controlling all of the government in Illinois. It's time for a change!

Senator Kirk Dillard of Lombard gets my vote!  He knows and understands the concerns of the collar counties and farther down state.
