Fullersburg offers 30 days of green activities in April

OAK BROOK – The Forest Preserve District of DuPage County is inviting outdoor explorers of all ages to join a variety of activities and events during the upcoming "Eco 30" series.

Throughout April, DuPage County forest preserve staff will host the nature themed events at Fullersburg Woods Nature Education Center, 3609 Spring Road in Oak Brook.

Activities encompass familiar favorites like "FullersBird Fridays" bird-watching walks on April 11, 18 and 25, and new ones like the "Kids Happy Hour" earth-friendly crafting program on April 5 and 12.

Home gardeners can reserve spots for "Organic Gardening" on April 6, "Design Your Veggie Garden" on April 13 and "Worms Eat My Garden: Vermicomposting Workshop" on April 23.

Other programs will feature geocaching, recycling, bicycling and hiking.

Some programs require advanced registration or have fees, which are listed in the online calendar.
