Sheriff Curran hires two deputy sheriffs

WAUKEGAN – Sheriff Mark C. Curran Jr. recently announced he has hired two individuals as deputy sheriffs.  Garrick Corder and Katie Gordon were sworn in as deputies by Lake County Clerk Willard Helander.

Corder, of Midlothian, has an associate’s degree from South Suburban College in criminal justice. He was a United States Navy military police officer.

Gordon, of Ingleside, has a bachelor’s degree from Carthage College in criminal justice.

Corder and Gordon will begin their police academy training on Monday at Suburban Law Enforcement Academy.
