Community High School to represent Illinois at national LifeSmarts competition

WEST CHICAGO – Community High School students Logan Bruce (from left), Jacob Urban, Garrett Hosticka and Sonya Olson win the Illinois State LifeSmarts Championships on March 4.

Established in 1994, LifeSmarts is a competitive educational opportunity that prepares students to enter the real world as smart adult consumers and focuses on personal finance, consumer rights and responsibilities, technology, the environment, and health and safety.

Teams from across the country compete online throughout the school year.

Community High School's team will represent Illinois in late April at the national level in Orlando.

The team is coached by Nancy Blume (far right).
