Java & Jazz concert to be held at Barrington High School

BARRINGTON – Families, friends and music fans are invited to attend the Barrington High School Java & Jazz event in the BHS cafeteria beginning at 7 p.m. April 25.

The evening of hot java and cool jazz will feature performances by the award-winning BHS Rithum Machine and Jazz Ensemble and combos from various band groups such as Blues and Beyond. All performances will be in a "coffeehouse" setting.

BHS Band Director Randy Karon said "the creativity of these young musicians in amazing."

Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for students; free for children 10 years and younger.

Tickets are available at the door before the show. Limited edition "bottomless" Java & Jazz mugs will be available for purchase along with other refreshments and treats. This event is sponsored by Starbucks. Gift baskets will be raffled off to benefit BHS bands.
