Oak Brook Police Department initiates vacation house watch program

Published: Wednesday, April 30, 2014 9:54 a.m. CDT

OAK BROOK – The Oak Brook Police Department has initiated a vacation house watch program as a public service and crime prevention measure in order to prevent and detect crime on affected residential properties while residents are away.

To request a vacation house watch, a form must be completed and signed by the requesting resident.

Vacation house watches shall not exceed a period of 60 days, and if the resident requests an extension, it will be conducted in the form of an extra watch, not a vacation house watch, according to the Village of Oak Brook.

For more information, and for a request form, visit oak-brook.org/DocumentCenter/View/2935.
