BARTLETT – Katie Gilman of West Chicago (from left) and Kristin Scott of South Elgin show their appreciation after receiving copies of "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" from the World Book Night Organization.

Bartlett Public Library Assistant Circulation Manager Dina Castelvecchi (far right) was chosen as a book giver by the organization and given 20 specially printed copies of the book to give to reluctant readers on April 23.

Castelvecchi was one of 25,000 book lovers who volunteered to promote reading within their community by giving away more than a half a million books for World Book Night.

The World Book Night Organization has the motto of “Spreading the Love of Reading...Person to Person.”
