Crews clean up fuel spill on Remington Blvd. in Bolingbrook

Published: Monday, May 5, 2014 2:10 p.m. CDT

BOLINGBROOK – A crash resulted in a fuel spill along Remington Boulevard Monday morning.

Approximately 60 gallons of fuel leaked from a tank of a semi-truck after it collided with another semi-truck at 1450 Remington Blvd., the location of Schwarz Paper Company, around 11:30 a.m.

The contact caused a crease in the fuel tank of the one truck, which led to the leak, according to Bolingbrook Police Lt. Mike Rompa. There were no injuries, Rompa said, adding that a hazardous material clean-up crew was called in.
