Addison Trail, Glenbard East and Willowbrook competed in conference track meets on May 8. The Blazers and Warriors headed to Downers Grove South for the West Suburban Gold meet while the Rams traveled to West Aurora to compete in the DuPage Valley Conference. All three teams competed in the Wheaton Warrenville South sectional on Thursday, but first here's how the teams did in conference.

Willowbrook

Eight Warriors had top three finishes at the Gold meet, including Jada Stills' title in the discus.

Stills was also second in the shot put. Kayla Denwood was right behind Stills in the shot put by placing second.

Taylor Burton had a strong all-around day by placing third in both the 100-meter dash and the 200 and taking fifth in the 400.

Standout 800 runner Molly Krawczykowski entered the sectional meet with the top seed time, but settled for second in conference. She ran almost three seconds below the state-qualifying standard by finishing in 2:17.

Shannon Jones was third in the 1,600 and Elizabeth Pegler took third in the 300-meter hurdles.

Willowbrook was third in the team standings.

Addison Trail

Kaleen Smith was the star of the WSG meet for the Blazers.

The senior won the 100-meter dash and the long jump while taking second in the triple jump. She crossed the finish line in 13.05 seconds in the 100 and jumped 17 feet, 3.5 inches to take the long jump.

Freshman Lauren Kroll won the 200 with a time of 26.28 seconds. Kroll was also third in the 100-meter hurdles.

AT's relays also had strong showings. Yulisa Vivero, Kroll, Jamie Borcha and Kim Schonder teamed up to win the 4x100, and the 4x200 relay also took first.

Lynette Banuelos was edged out for the 400 conference title by less than four-tenths of a second. Her time of 59.92 seconds was good for second place.

AT took fourth overall at the meet.

Glenbard East

The Rams competed at the DuPage Valley Conference meet at West Aurora and the 4x400-meter relay team won a conference title. The 4x200 relay placed fourth.

Individually, Allison Hansen was sixth in the 1,600-meter run and Stephany Flores took sixth in the long jump.
