WHEATON – The Wheaton Park District was awarded two health grants in April, according to a news release from the district.

The first came from the Illinois Association of Park Districts to help fund its PowerPlay! Summer Camp, which runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 14 to 18.

Wheaton was one of the association's 35 member agencies to receive grants totaling $35,000.

The camp promotes children's health with exercise and fitness assessments. For more information, call the Parks Plus Fitness Center at 630-871-6713.

The district also received $450 to offset the price of a Heartsaver Automated External Defibrillator from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
