Elmhurst Park District to host fireworks cruise

ELMHURST – The Elmhurst Park District is taking reservations for a fireworks cruise on Lake Michigan.

Participants will start the evening at Navy Pier to shop or enjoy dinner on their own before boarding a Shoreline Sightseeing boat for an architecture and fireworks cruise.

The cruise travels down all three branches of the historic Chicago River for a glittering view of the city's iconic skyscrapers.

The evening ends with Navy Pier’s spectacular fireworks display from the mouth of the Chicago River.

The event will be from 6 to 11 p.m. June 18.

Registration costs $59 for residents and $64 for nonresidents. That includes transportation and the cruise. Shopping and dinner are not included.

The deadline to register is May 27. Call 630-993-8193 to register.
