BARRINGTON – A summertime staple event is back in downtown Barrington celebrating its 11th season – Cruise Night.

Cruise Night is held at 6:30 every Thursday until Aug. 28 in the Harris Bank Parking lot on South Cook Street, just south of Lake-Cook Road. The free, family friendly event is full of food, prizes, entertainment and of course, cars.

The weekly event is hosted by the village of Barrington. It was 70’s Night June 5. The upcoming theme schedule is as follows:

• Ford/Mercury, Tonight• Pontiac, June 19• Street Rods and Pre-1948, June 26• Red, White and Blue, July 3• Buick, Cadillac and Olds, July 10• British and Sports Cars, July 17• Mopar, July 24• Convertibles, July 31• Four-speeds, Aug. 7• Orphan and Exotic Cars, Aug. 14• Corvettes, Aug. 21• Trucks and 4x4, Aug. 28
