WWS grad Rhoades selected in fourth round of MLB draft

Wheaton Warrenville South graduate Jeremy Rhoades was taken by the Anaheim Angels with the 119th overall pick of the Major League baseball draft Friday.

The fourth round pick recently completed his junior season at Illinois State University where he was selected to the Missouri Valley all-conference team.

The right hander appeared in 19 games for the Redbirds, going 6-4 with four saves. Rhoades struck out 92 batters in 76.2 innings, yielding just 64 hits while compiling an ERA of 2.35.
