DARIEN – The India Development Coalition of America will host an education forum for educators, school administrators and parent teacher association members at 1:30 p.m. June 29 at the Indian Prairie Public Library.
The forum will focus on improving education in India and in the United States, according to a newsletter from the coalition.
Experts will present at the forum and share knowledge and experiences regarding innovative ways to educate children without rote learning, which is a memorization technique based on repetition.
Presenting will be four speakers; two are faculty at the University of Chicago and two are volunteer leaders who hold doctorates from United States universities.
