LISLE – Lisle's Boy Scout Troop 99 recently assisted local police in recycling used uniforms as part of an Earth Day project, according to a news release from the Boy Scouts of America's Three Fires Council.

The 20 Scouts removed patches from numerous police and community service officer uniforms, saving employees about 30 hours of work preparing the clothing for donation to Goodwill.

Additionally, the Scouts cleaned the Lisle Police Department's equipment room.
