Michelle Gallo named District 41 director of student services

GLEN ELLYN – Michelle Gallo has been hired by Glen Ellyn School District 41 as director of student services effective Tuesday, according to a district news release.

She replaces Jennifer Law, who left the district for another position.

Gallo began her career in Illinois School District U-46 as a middle school and elementary school special education teacher.

In 2004, she became an assistant principal at Prairie Oak Elementary School in Berwyn and then held the same title at Jane Addams Junior High School in Schaumburg.

For the last seven years, she was worked in West Aurora School District 129 as a building principal, assistant director of special education and director of special education.

Gallo holds a bachelor of science in special education from Illinois State University and a master's degree in educational leadership from Aurora University.
