New uniform shirts required at Morton East, West high schools in fall

J. Sterling Morton High School students will now be required to wear a maroon long or short sleeved uniform polo shirt with the JSM logo, instead of the white polo shirt previously required, beginning at the start of the 2014-2015 school year, according to district officials.

The polo shirts will only be available through Morton and will cost of $6 per shirt, plus tax.

Students can purchase the shirts during school registration.They can also pre-order shirts for pick up at registration at www.morton201.org.

District officials said the changes were a result of long-existing requests by students and families. The new uniform shirts are easy to wash, non-transparent, and will benefit families due to their low cost, according to officials.
