BARRINGTON – Just one day after UnCork Barrington, hundreds more visitors gathered at the Metra train station in downtown Barrington for the 11th annual Barrington Brew Fest.

Craft brewers from about 50 national breweries served up to 20 three-ounce drink samples to each attendee. Vendors were present providing fest food, such as Big Iron Horse BBQ, Gilbert’s Craft Sausages, McGonigal’s Pub and Ruth’s Chris Steak House. Everyone received a Barrington Brew Fest glass and T-shirt as a souvenir.

Local brewers included The Lucky Monk of South Barrington, Mickey Finn’s of Libertyville, Small Town Brewery of Wauconda and The Wild Onion Brewing Co. of Lake Barrington.

Proceeds were donated to the Barrington Area Council on Aging. McGonigal’s Pub of Barrington was the main sponsor of the event.
