St. Charles Rotary seeks scholarship applicants

ST. CHARLES – The Rotary Club of St. Charles is seeking students in need of scholarships.

The club is accepting scholarship applications postmarked no later than Aug. 15 from students planning to attend or that are attending a college or university, according to a club news release.

Applicants must be a St. Charles-area high school graduate, GED recipient or nontraditional student entering a college or university. Direct relatives of Rotarians are not eligible.

Students will be evaluated on their completion of the application, financial need, community involvement, extracurricular activities, grade-point average and cultural experience. The amount and number of scholarships awarded will be based on the availability of funds.

Recipients will be recognized during a Thursday noon Rotary meeting at The Office Dining and Spirits, 201 E. Main St., St. Charles.
