CLARENDON HILLS – The Clarendon Hills Park District will be holding a Cardboard Boat Regatta at 9 a.m. Aug. 2 at Lions Park Pool, 100 Byrd Court.

Each team will be using only cardboard and duct tape to construct their water crafts. Teams are limited to five members.

Participants are asked to assemble their vessels at home, but on-site building will be allowed.

On the day of the event, two-member crews from each team will navigate their boats through an obstacle course set up in the pool.

Teams must pre-register at the Clarendon Hills Park District Community Center, 315 E. Chicago Ave. Each boat costs $20 to be entered in the regatta.
