JOLIET – Police said they found a Channahon man with more than $2,500 worth of marijuana Wednesday.

Wayne Ladd, Will County Cooperative Police Assistance Team director, said an investigation into "street deals of high-grade cannabis" led to officers conducting surveillance of a parking lot on Route 59.

"Officers approached the vehicle to see Matthew Hansen, 22, sitting with a large amount of cannabis between his legs and more in his pockets," Ladd said. Police reportedly seized 253 grams of marijuana and $1,900.

Hansen, of the the 24200 block of South Iroquois Drive, was arrested on charges of delivery of marijuana and marijuana possession and booked into the Will County jail.

Ladd said charges are pending against another person who was taken into custody with Hansen.
