GLEN ELLYN – The Chicago Foundation for Women recently awarded a $15,000 grant to the Teen Parent Connection, the group stated in a news release.

The money provided to Teen Parent Connection will benefit its community-based Doula Program.

The Doula Program offers pregnant teens in DuPage County the opportunity to receive home-based prenatal education and support services that promote a healthy pregnancy and prepare the young mother and her partner for childbirth.

The doula offers support during the labor and delivery process, as well as postpartum services.

In all, the Chicago Foundation for Women awarded $561,750 in grants to 53 Chicago area programs.
