CRYSTAL LAKE – An incident, possibly a water rescue, is taking place on James R. Rakow Road east of Virginia Road.

Early reports on the police scanner suggest a vehicle was driven off the road and into the Three Oaks Recreational Lake. Reports heard on the scanner also indicate there was at least one occupant that was out of the vehicle.

On scene were responders from the Crystal Lake Police Department, Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department, and Lake in the Hills Police Department. One person could be seen wearing a wet suit.

Marks that looked like tire tracks could be seen leading down the hill toward the water.
