BOLINGBROOK – A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of a man who shot a bank teller in the arm during an Aug. 11 robbery at First Midwest Bank in Bolingbrook.

Authorities are searching for a black man who is described to be in his early 20s, about 6-foot, 190 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a black hoodie, a red hat with a Chicago Bulls logo and a black bandana with white markings.

He was last seen leaving on foot in an unknown direction from the bank, 450 N. Bolingbrook Drive, around noon Aug. 11.

The bank teller manged to avoid serious injury during the robbery, according to Joan Hyde, a spokeswoman for the FBI's Chicago office. The FBI is handling the investigation.

Hyde said the suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, adding that a handgun was used in the robbery.

The FBI asks that anyone with information concerning the crime call its Chicago office at 312-421-6700.
