Villa Park police searching for suspect in attempted burglary

VILLA PARK — Detectives with the Villa Park Police Department are asking for the community's help in identifying a suspect who allegedly attempted to commit a burglary at 12:49 a.m. April 8 at Ardmore Food & Liquors, 1638 S. Ardmore Ave.

Photos of the suspect were taken using the store's video surveillance, and he appears to be Hispanic, between 17 and 24 years old with a thin build, with short black hair and wearing a light blue, hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and black gym shoes.
