St. Mary's student stand before Riverside Foods after delivering their artfully decorated paper bags for customers to use this Earth Day.

In a joint effort between the student body of St. Mary’s School in Riverside and a local grocery store, students created artwork on brown recyclable bags donated by Riverside Foods. Science teachers Judi Haugh and Jenny Pavalonis worked together with Peter Boutsikakis, owner of Riverside Foods, on the special Earth Day project. Brown bags were donated, and each student decorated a bag. The bags then were returned to Riverside Foods to fill with customers’ groceries.
