North Riverside fire fighters lend a helping hand

Members of the North Riverside Fire Fighters Union Local 2714 donated $500 to help the Helping Hand Thrift Store get back on its feet following a devastating April fire that destroyed the store's merchandise.

NORTH RIVERSIDE – Members of the North Riverside Fire Fighters Union Local 2714 stood for a photo with Mary Beth Hepp of The Helping Hand Center following the donation of $500 to help Brookfield's Helping Hand Thrift Store recover from a devastating multiple-alarm fire in April.

The Helping Hand Center provides programs and employment services to help people with developmental disabilities achieve their highest level of independence.
