Benet senior, Lemont resident John Corrigan earns National Merit Scholarship

LEMONT – The National Merit Scholarship Corporation named John Corrigan of Lemont as one of its $2,500 scholarship winners.

The Benet Academy senior is expected to pursue a career in mechanical engineering. He is one of 2,500 Merit Scholar designees chosen from a talent pool of more than 15,000 finalists.

National Merit $2,500 Scholarship winners are the finalists in each state judged to havethe strongest combination of accomplishments, skills, and potential for success in rigorous college studies. This award is supported by National Merit Scholarship Corporation's own funds.
